Our Foundation
Jesus said, 'I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me,
and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.'
John 15:5 NKJ
What is a branch? Without the life of the Vine flowing through it, it's just a dead stick. If we're the branches, then all our struggling and striving to produce the fruit of self-effort will leave us defeated and exhausted because, without Him, we can do nothing.
Jesus invites us to fully experience what it means to be grafted into the True Vine, to know the oneness and intimacy of unbroken fellowship and a life-union with Him, and the provision of the All Sufficient One for every need.
The abiding life is one of confidence and rest as we find our joy in being loved, nurtured and cared for by the Master Gardener.
Our Purpose
The Awaken Team have all been profoundly impacted by the simple truths revealed in the life of the Vine. We are united in our passion to help others discover that for themselves. If you feel weak, inadequate and often fail - like we do - you're in the right place!
We offer discipleship training and resources that introduce people to Jesus and encourage them in Him. Discipleship is all about creating space in safe relationships to uncover the depths of who Jesus is and recognising what we’ve always had all along.
